Hello friends! My goodness it has been too long since I chatted with you all. I have so many life updates to share it is hard to figure out where to start!
My last post was in May after my trip to Cancun, which was fab. The summer was wonderful with trips to St. Louis to visit family, a trip or two home to Texas, and lots of time spent with friends here in Birmingham. I got to travel to Nashville for a modeling job, and I even got to go back to my old summer camp and work for a week — it was amazing. The Fall came and of course I thrived with Halloween. Y’all know it’s my favorite! I will make sure to do a post with all my costumes, closer to next years halloween for you all to bookmark for inspiration. For now here are 3 main life updates for you all…
I think most importantly I should share that I got a dog! (if you follow me on social media then you already know this) Her name is Winnie and she is an F1-b Aussiedoodle and she is my whole world. I have lived my whole life allergic to dogs, but I grew up with dogs and always hoped one day I could find a hypoallergenic dog. Getting Winnie was a total risk but it was 100% worth it. I’m not allergic to her at all and I always say Jesus had her picked out for me. Especially because she was born the day after my bday?! How special is that?! I got her when she was 7 weeks and now she is 7 months old. She is my baby and I am so thankful she’s mine!

Second update, I have officially been in Birmingham for a year! So crazy. Sometimes it feels like I left Los Angeles yesterday and other days it feels like a life ago. I miss LA a lot. I miss so many things about it and I often wonder if I will ever move back there. But there are also a lot of things I don’t miss about LA, and Birmingham has always felt like home to me. I’ve lived here on and off since 2016, and every chapter here has felt so different that it feels like home but can still feel new at the same time. I am 6 months into my new job that I love, I’m in a great new house, I have Winnie, and a lot of my closest friends are here. So for now Birmingham is it for me. I have no idea what the future holds and I am 100% guilty of having insane wanderlust…but for now I want to make the most of my time here in this chapter of life.
Third and MAJOR update is that I am currently training to run my first half marathon! I am in week 4 or 5 (I’ve lost count lol) of training. I will be running the Princess Half Marathon at Disney World on February 26th and I truly cannot wait. I am following a training plan from Olympian Jeff Galloway, running intervals, and increasing my distance every week. I am 99 days away from the race and I am a ball of excitement, nerves, fear, etc etc. Something that is different about running a race at Disney is that the races have a time limit. Every race must start and finish before the parks open so the races start at 5am with a 3:30hour time limit. What this means is that I will be waking up at 3am to be on the bus at 3:30am to get to the start line by 4am –ahhh!! Thankfully Disney does an incredible job at getting everyone pumped up for the race. There are fireworks, live music, characters, and more. I have to say I am the most excited to run through Magic Kingdom at mile 6, and cross the finish line in Epcot. My goal is to run/walk a 14min mile at the least and finish the race in under 3 hours. But I also know that sleep, anxiety, etc can affect my overall race time so I will simply be thrilled to finish! I will keep you all updated as the race gets closer.
That’s all the updates I have for now!
Nice
